Liv Bjørsvik won the 4th edition of Trappers Trail in 3h 36 min 52sec (Big team: 6-8 dogs). She made a new race record, ie 9 minutes faster than the former edition. Janne Søreide and Tommy Jordbrudal took the lead of the small teams (5 dogs) in 4h 19min 26sec.The 75km-long race started on Saturday from Longyearbyen, following Todalen, Bødalen and Colesdalen. After an overnight at Kapp Laila the dog teams returned back to town through Colesdalen and along the difficult steep climb of Fardalen. Thirteen teams, 24 dog drivers and 85 dogs competed in Trappers Trail this weekend.
Saturday starter Trappers Trail 2012 at 12:00. Departure of the teams takes place every 3 minutes following the starting list below. Race Marshal, Kirsten Kahler, proceeded to the drawing of the entrants who did not take part of the prologue Hilmar Nøis. Team Jordbrudal Søreide, winner of the prologue 2012, has therefore the advantage to start last and chase the 12 other teams who entered Trappers Trail 2012.

Tommy Jordbrudal vinner HN2012
Søndag 11. mars ble arrangert Hilmar Nøis 2012. Åtte hundespann deltok på årets første hundeløp på Svalbard (ca. 50km). Tommy Jordbrudal kom først i mål foran Ingvild Sæbu Vatn og Stefan Claes. Harvey Goodwin er på pallen med 3. plass. Vinneren brukte 2 timer og 27 minutter.
I kveld feirer puben hundekjørere fra kl. 20:00 med kunngjøring av resultater.
